I did this and when I inserted the SD Card into my PC (using the Mazda Toolbox application) it was correctly registered with my new profile. Whilst the SD Card was still in my PC the Mazda Toolbox indicated a new map update was available and it was after this update was completed that the SD Card mysteriously stopped working. I am left wondering if deleting and creating a new profile in is the cause of my SD Card problems but this could just be a coincidence. The new SD Card was fitted today - and all OK. When I got the car home I nervously slotted the new SD Card into my PC to see what would happen. (There was no download delay, so I presume that the map update was already in my PC from when I applied it to the old SC Card.) The Toolbox Application accepted the new SD Card and identified that an update was available and installed it. When I fitted the SD Card back into the car the car recognised it and the Sat Nav is still working OK. What really happened to the old SD Card remains somewhat of a mystery. Whilst at the dealer I had a sit in the new 2019 Mazda 3 model. It had only just arrived in the showroom, the engine was still warm and the water dripped off the doors when I opened it (as it clearly had just been washed). I managed to set off the car alarm on the new Mazda 3 and in the confined space of the showroom it was VERY loud. The sales person mentioned something about an automatic locking feature with the new model, LOL.
